We all know how to breathe... we think, but most people breathe improperly. Breathing properly is a skill that has to be learnt.
Joseph Pilates said ‘Even if you follow no other instruction learn how to breath correctly’
Taking time to focus on the breath daily will help to calm the mind, which us mama’s need during pregnancy, and calm deep breathing is one of the most important factors during labour. The breath is also intrinsically linked with your pelvic floor health and will help get everything to move back into place quicker and in turn help you to heal quicker. We explore some Pilates breathing and pelvic floor techniques during this short class.
